Browns reportedly acquire Tyrod Taylor from Bills for 2018 3rd-round pick

The Cleveland Browns have acquired quarterback Tyrod Taylor from the Buffalo Bills in exchange for the 65th pick in this year's draft, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

What It Means:

After acquiring Jarvis Landry earlier this afternoon, it looks like the Browns may have also found someone to throw him the ball. Head coach Hue Jackson previously said he didn't want to start a rookie at quarterback in Week 1, so Taylor will likely open the year under center for Cleveland. Meanwhile, Nathan Peterman is currently the only quarterback under contract for the Bills. The 65th pick is the first selection of the third round.

Tyrod averaged 14.6 FanDuel points in 15 games (14 starts) last season, with 2,799 passing yards, 14 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions. He added 427 yards and 4 scores on the ground.
