Antonio Gates still not practicing for Chargers Wednesday
San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates (knee) remained sidelined at Wednesday's practice.
Gates has a sprained MCL, which forced him to miss the team's Week 7 contest. There's still a ways to go prior to Sunday, but Gates will likely need to hit the practice field in some capacity in order to notch the start.
If Gates can't go, targets will once again fall to Ladarius Green. Green saw a season-high nine targets in Week 7, but that could be an outlier. In his other five games this year -- including three without Gates -- Green never topped six targets. He's in a good matchup as the Baltimore Ravens rank 18th in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play, but Green is not a lock for Gates-like production if he starts.
