Smith 'extremely comfortable' with Jamison Crowder in Washington's offense
Washington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith has looked "extremely comfortable" throwing to Jamison Crowder through the early days of camp, writes Jake Kring-Schreifels of redskins.com.
Crowder has always thrived in the short-to-intermediate area, which is where Smith has tended to stick to throughout his career, although the veteran stretched it out a bit more last season with the Kansas City Chiefs. Crowder is the best bet to lead the team in targets.
numberFire's models currently project Crowder for 71.4 catches (117.1 targets), 811.8 yards, and 5.02 touchdowns in 2018. He's just inside the top-40 receivers in our preseason fantasy rankings.
