3 Daily Fantasy Hockey Stacks for 2/17/17
Carolina Hurricanes
Players to target: Sebastian Aho, Jordan Staal, Elias Lindholm
The Carolina Hurricanes as a whole will be highly owned tonight because they are a huge -300 favorite against the lowly Colorado Avalanche. The Avalanche will be on the back-end of a back-to-back after being shut out 2-0 by the Buffalo Sabres. While this line will be somewhat popular, it may see lower ownership than the Hurricanes' line of Jeff Skinner, Teuvo Teravainen, and Lee Stempniak, making Staal's line a great pivot.
Aho, Staal, and Lindholm have posted 56 Corsi For and an incredible 17.4 Scoring Chances For per 60 minutes in their time together. While the Hurricanes have not played particularly well on the power play, the Avalanche have committed the third-most penalties in the league and are only killing them 77.8% of the time.
They usually get the opposing team's top line at home, and Nathan MacKinnon's line is allowing 56.5 Corsi Against per 60 minutes and 9.2 Scoring Chances Against per 60 minutes. This line makes for an excellent stack, and you won't have to break the bank to make it work as they are all under $6,000 on FanDuel.
