NHL Daily Fantasy Helper: Thursday 10/19/17
A good chunk of you probably already play daily fantasy football, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?
It's time to give it a try over on FanDuel.com because it's a ton of fun. And our analysis and projections can help you win.
To help, let's take a look at some goalies, high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.
Goalie to Target
Carter Hutton ($7,700): The St. Louis Blues' backup goalie is likely to draw the start tonight after starter Jake Allen got the nod last night. Hutton allowed just 1 goal on 33 shots in his only other start this season, and he has a soft matchup tonight against the Colorado Avalanche, a team that has our second-lowest projected total of any team on this slate. The Blues' 2.57 goals allowed per game is the seventh-best mark in the league, which explains Hutton having the best chances at a shutout of any goalie. But St. Louis is tied for the 10th-most (33.9) shots allowed per game, which will allow Hutton to rack up points via saves. The value with a backup goalie's price in this spot is too good to pass up.
