NHL Daily Fantasy Helper: Thursday 2/6/20

Our analysis and projections can help you win. To help, let's take a look at a goalie, some high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.
Goalie to Target
Brian Elliott ($8,000): The Philadelphia Flyers goalie likely starts against a New Jersey Devils team that loves to shoot against Philadelphia (33+ shots in four of the last six meetings). Elliott has 32+ FanDuel points in three of his last four starts, and the Flyers are 18-4-4 at home while allowing just 2.06 goals per game. In the last three wins, Elliott has yielded just one goal on 70 shots. See who starts for the New York Islanders against the Los Angeles Kings. Also, Carey Price ($8,800) is in a good spot against a light-scoring Anaheim Ducks offense.
High-Priced Skaters
Jack Eichel ($8,400): The Buffalo Sabres center has been just okay of late despite points in four-straight games. If there is going to be a breakout, it may be tonight against the Detroit Red Wings. Detroit allows 4.23 goals per game on the road and has a penalty kill at 70% over the past 10 games. Eichel should see an excellent opportunity to have at least 4-5+ scoring chances tonight. That is what Detroit yields to top-line forwards on a nightly basis. Nathan MacKinnon ($8,700) is home for Colorado against the Ottawa Senators.
Taylor Hall ($7,700): With the big slate, Hall will be lower-owned. He is due for a surge in goals (13 goals on just 174 shots). His 10.8 shooting percentage is the tip of the iceberg, and the left-winger is still averaging around 3.5 shots per contest. Carolina has had problems defensively ever since Dougie Hamilton went down to injury. They allow nearly three goals a game on the road now, and the over has hit in the last three contests while allowing two goals a game to top-lines. Leon Draisaitl ($8,400) is worth a look against San Jose.
Value Skaters
Nick Cousins ($3,700): Once Montreal gets more healthy, Cousins will likely return to his fourth-line role. In the meantime, ride the wave while you can. He has six real-world points in seven games while averaging nearly two scoring chances a contest. Cousins is playing middle-six ice time with some power play action as well. Anaheim could be a good matchup for Cousins, who fared well against them while he was a member of the Arizona Coyotes. Valeri Nichushkin ($3,900) is another alternative to consider.
Filip Hronek ($4,000): The Detroit Red Wings will be more of a play than usual against Buffalo tonight because of how equally woeful the Sabres have played. Hronek has no points in his last five games but does have ten scoring chances in that span. Buffalo's penalty kill is just 73% at home this season and rivals Detroit's for futility. This could be a game where special teams figures prominently. The Detroit defenseman is one of their best on the man advantage. Ryan Graves ($4,000) is a solid play against Ottawa.
