3 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on 3/11/20

Kailer Yamamoto has elite upside playing with Draisaitl and Nugent-Hopkins. Which other cheap options can you rely on tonight?

If you follow the NHL, you already know all of the top players. Obviously, when playing DFS, those players will come at a high cost. In this article, we are looking to find the cheaper value plays to help you afford the superstars

Kailer Yamamoto, Winger, Edmonton Oilers

FanDuel Price: $4,700

With Connor McDavid missing last game, the Edmonton Oilers reunited the dominant Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Leon Draisaitl, Kailer Yamamoto line. This line has been dominant in the past and although a matchup against the Winnipeg Jets isn't great, the success of this line is encouraging.

After two disappointing stints in the NHL for Yamamoto, he has really flourished this season with 11 goals and 25 points in 26 games. However, this is definitely a bit inflated due to a ridiculous 26.8 percent shooting percentage.

Ryan Graves, Defense, Colorado Avalanche

FanDuel Price: $3,800

Ryan Graves has a solid 26 points in 68 games, but it is the peripheral stats that make him very intriguing. He has 133 shots and 144 blocks, which means he averages 4.07 shots-plus-blocks per game, which certainly gives him a solid floor.

The New York Rangers have averaged 32.6 shots per game since February 1st, which is the eighth-most in the NHL and gives Graves plenty of opportunities to rack up the blocks. With Igor Shesterkin playing last night, the Rangers will have either Alexandar Georgiev or Henrik Lundqvist in net — both of which are advantageous for the Colorado Avalanche.

Cal Petersen, Goaltender, Los Angeles Kings

FanDuel Price: $7,600

For whatever reason, Cal Petersen has been terrible in the American Hockey League (AHL) but has been very solid in the National Hockey League (NHL). Although the sample size is small, in 18 games in the NHL, Petersen has managed a .923 save percentage and a 2.65 goals against average.

Tonight is a great matchup for Petersen as the Ottawa Senators have traded away some players over the last couple weeks and are coming into Los Angeles on the tailend of a back to back in which they dominated the Anaheim Ducks, outshooting them 42-15 but somehow lost 5-2 as Marcus Hogberg struggled.
