3 NHL FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Friday 5/6/22

Let's end this first NHL DFS playoff week with a few more value options. Who stands out for this four-game slate?

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal of risk, too. The right low-salary plays can give you good production while affording you more chances to roster high-salary studs.

Friday night has four Game 3s as the venues shift. Let's see what value can be found.

Ross Colton, Center, Tampa Bay Lightning

FanDuel Salary: $3,900

The Tampa Bay Lightning center has been pretty good as a middle-six pivot. Scoring 22 goals despite playing 12 minutes a game is impressive.

Games 1 and 2 were not great for the forward. He took a bunch of shots from Toronto Maple Leafs, and not in a good way. On the bright side, Ross Colton does have 9 shots on goal and 10 scoring chances in his previous three games.

While the chances for double-digit FanDuel points feel low, maybe Colton finds a way to surprise at home. If one pivots off Colton, Erik Haula is an option from Boston.

Arthur Kaliyev, Wing, Los Angeles Kings

FanDuel Salary: $3,900

Arthur Kaliyev has some considerable speed, and that needs a little more time to roam on Friday night in Los Angeles.

Kaliyev is capable of firing shots at a moderate volume on the goal. Despite fourth-line minutes, the young player has three-plus shots in three of his last five starts.

The winger also has a respectable 14 goals and 13 assists this season.

The Edmonton Oilers can be so inconsistent from one game to the next. There may be an opportunity here.

If it comes to this, consider spending up a bit for Brandon Hagel. This may be crazy enough to work.

Brent Kulak, Defenseman, Edmonton Oilers

FanDuel Salary: $3,900

Several Edmonton defensemen are viable options on Friday night. One has to be Brett Kulak. Kulak has a goal and three assists in his previous seven games.

In his last tilt, Kulak had two or more shots and three scoring chances or more for a sixth straight time. His floor has started to become more and more reliable.

Kulak has to be utilized even for a spell at an elevated rule. Heck, even Cody Ceci and Duncan Keith have proven to carry a little bit of value.
