3 NHL FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Tuesday 5/10/22
Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal of risk, too. The right low-salary plays can give you good production while affording you more chances to roster high-salary studs.
Tuesday night opens up with four pivotal Game 5's. Let's see what values can be unearthed.
Ross Colton, Center, Tampa Bay Lightning
FanDuel Salary: $4,400
The Tampa Bay Lightning figure to have a tougher time on Tuesday night in Toronto. However, Ross Colton and his game is suited perfectly for the playoffs.
The floor is reasonable, as Colton has three goals on his last nine shots. He even played 16-plus minutes in Game 4 over the weekend.
With how predictable this series has been, Colton produced two games in a row, which is rare in this series for forwards.
Colton has the potential to frustrate Toronto one more time on Tuesday. Ondrej Palat makes for a value stack of sorts here.
Max Domi, Wing, Carolina Hurricanes
FanDuel Salary: $4,200
So, Max Domi is quite the risk to take tonight against the Boston Bruins.
The two assists in his last four games might get him out of the fourth-line doghouse.
Domi has had several quality scoring chances in this series against the Bruins. Again, one has to wonder when the winger gets a bit more ice time.
He possesses room for more offensive potential. The hope is he sees some middle-six ice time at least.
Jake Muzzin, Defenseman, Toronto Maple Leafs
FanDuel Salary: $4,000
The Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman has provided nice value at a good salary. Jake Muzzin has double-digit FanDuel points in three of his four games versus Tampa Bay in this series.
Now, worries about his health are going to always be there. However, Muzzin has two goals and an assist so far in this first-round matchup. His floor is lower than usual but Muzzin does have eight blocked shots to go along with three shots and five scoring chances.
The defender easily sees 20-plus minutes a night and can be a threat even on the penalty kill. He even scored short-handed in Game 4. Muzzin is more of an offensive threat than most often realize.
His salary at just $4,000 is worth every single penny.
