4 FanDuel Premier League Players to Avoid in Matchweek 6
Wayne Hennessey, Goalie, Crystal Palace
Salary: $5,000
Tied with five other keepers as the fifth-highest priced keeper on the slate, Hennessey is coming off his second clean sheet of the season, and he has averaged 15.8 FanDuel points through five matches – fourth-highest average among all keepers. Despite the high average, Hennessey has been extremely dependent on clean sheets and wins to reach those high-point performances as he has scored 10 or fewer FanDuel points in his other three matches.
The Eagles have a 47.6% chance to win Saturday’s match, and while the match has a 47.6% chance of reaching over 2.5 goals, the Magpies have a 69.2% chance of scoring at least one goal, a feat they have accomplished in every match this season except for Matchweek 2 when Issac Hayden was sent off with a red card in the 66th minute.
If the Magpies are able to find the back of the net against the Eagles, Hennessey’s upside would likely be extremely limited as Newcastle have forced the fourth-fewest save opportunities (2.0) per 90 minutes to opposing keepers this season.
With FanDuel's new scoring, Liverpool’s Alisson and Manchester City’s Ederson seem like the obvious plays -- if DFS players can afford them -- while the other keepers at $5,500 and below should offer better save upside than Hennessey.
