Value at Forward Is Limited

This has popped up in the value posts time and again this season. Most of the strikers that are consistently contributing are among the most expensive players on every slate. There are some priced around $8,000, which is less than the normal threshold used in the value posts of $9,000. However, they can still be very hit or miss.

Romelu Lukaku ($13,000) is the most expensive player on the slate this week with a total of six forwards priced above $10,000. Troy Deeney ($8,500) is among four players priced between $8000-9000 that have scored in two of the last four matches. There are players below $8,000 that have scored in one of the previous three matches, but none with great matchups.

The matchweek 33 slate will be a bit different, because the teams involved will likely keep prices down overall. However, Jamie Vardy figures to be one of the most expensive players as he has scored in three of the last four matches and is currently priced at $11,000. Again, paying up at forward will be justified.

Forwards rely heavily on goals for points. The other positions can find points through defensive actions or creating scoring chances. Week in and week out there is little production from any one player priced lower among the forwards.
