3 FanDuel Premier League Under-the-Radar Plays for Matchweek 34
If you have played daily fantasy sports for a while, you know the importance of being contrarian in large-field tournaments. Recognizing which players are going to be owned by the masses and finding others who you think have a similar point projection but will come at much lower ownership can really separate yourself from your opponents.
The same goes for DFS Premier League. Even though the large-field tournaments aren't quite as large as they are for other sports, there is still value in identifying quality under-the-radar plays.
This article will discuss FanDuel's main Saturday slate, which starts at 10:00 a.m. EST and features five matches.
Matchweek 34 |

Saturday, April 13th |
Bournemouth at Brighton |
Everton at Fulham |
Wolves at Southampton |
Cardiff at Burnley |
West Ham at Manchester United |
The 34th main slate of the season features a single elite side in Manchester United. The Red Devils are coming off a tiring midweek showdown with Barcelona, but they are still the largest favorites on the slate, with an implied win probability of 72.2%, per FanDuel Sportsbook.
Behind Manchester United are Everton, who carry an implied win probability of 58.3% and Burley, with an implied win probability of 54.5%. In the two other matches, Brighton and Southampton are both the slightest of home favorites in pick'em fixtures versus Bournemouth and Wolves, respectively.
Ownership on this slate will likely revolve around Manchester United. With the race for the top four coming down to the wire, every Premier League match is critical for the Red Devils. With just two days to rest following their Champions League match on Wednesday, their meeting with West Ham provides a more difficult challenge than it otherwise would have.
With losses in their last two matches and three in their last four, United are in the middle of their worst run of form since Ole Gunnar Solskjær took the wheel earlier this season. That said, with no other elite options available and West Ham's horrid defensive form, a complete fade of United is unwise. Anthony Martial ($11,000) and Jesse Lingard ($8,500) played the fewest minutes of United's forward group on Wednesday and should have the freshest legs for this weekend.
With that in mind, here are three players to consider this weekend -- especially for tournament formats -- who may fly under the radar.
