Fantasy Baseball: A Value Hitter at Every Position
Stephen Piscotty, OF, St. Louis Cardinals
While the St. Louis Cardinals' lineup lacks a major power supplier, Stephen Piscotty could be a key source of production hitting behind Dexter Fowler, Aledmys Diaz and Matt Carpenter.
In his first full pro season, Piscotty flashed with a .273 average, 22 home runs, 86 runs scored, 85 RBI's and 7 stolen bases. Piscotty turned 26 years old in January. He's a young talent entering his prime, but his value doesn't reflect it. He's ranked outside the top 30 outfielders and top 130 overall players in both NFBC drafts and FantasyPros ranks.
Piscotty won’t wow fantasy baseball enthusiasts in any single area, but he should provide solid numbers across the board. Getting a player free of any warts or playing time concerns around the double-digit rounds isn’t always easy, and Piscotty finds himself discounted despite what appears to be a very safe floor.
