As the carousel continues to rotate with injured Dodgers starting pitchers, as Julio Urias, Hyun-jin Ryu, Clayton Kershaw, and Rich Hill are all dinged up, Kenta Maeda tabs the slab tonight, and that could spell trouble for the St. Louis Cardinals slugging first baseman, Paul Goldschmidt.

Maeda has dominated same-sided bats in recent memory. A year ago he held the split to a .266 wOBA, five home runs, and a 33.6% strikeout rate. He's also been stellar in this spot in 2019, recording a .261 wOBA and 16.7% hard-hit rate on the young season.

A middling over/under of 8.0 runs shows there may not be a ton of runs plated in St. Louis this evening, making Goldy an easy fade.
