David Ortiz, 1B, Boston Red Sox

David Ortiz has been unstoppable this season, and it doesn’t look like he’s slowing down anytime soon. He’s especially tormented right-handed pitching, hitting 14 of his 16 home runs off them with an other-worldy .394 isolated slugging and .481 wOBA.

When he gets the bat on the ball versus righties, he has been lights out; 49.0 percent of his batted balls are fly balls, and they’re hard-hit an astounding 47.6 percent of the time.

Tonight, he’ll face Kevin Gausman, who has been superb against lefties this year with a 25.5 percent strikeout rate. With Ortiz's ability to make contact, though, we can instead focus on Gausman's amped-up 46.2 percent fly-ball rate against lefties, which could be bad news against a slugger like Ortiz.

With the short, 302-foot porch in right field, there is an excellent chance of Ortiz smacking a homer tonight.
