Luis Gonzalez optioned to Triple-A by Giants on Monday
San Francisco Giants outfielder Luis Gonzalez has been sent down to Triple-A by the team Monday evening.
Tommy La Stella has been out all season to this point due to Achilles surgery. However, Monday night, he has received the green light to make his 2022 season debut. His call-up to the active roster means someone has to go down, and this time, it'll be Gonzalez who heads to Sacramento.
In 73 plate appearances this season, Gonzalez has a .349 batting average with an .889 OPS, 2 home runs, 11 runs, 15 RBI and 3 stolen bases.
