Braves acquire Jake Odorizzi from Astros
The Atlanta Braves acquired right-handed starter Jake Odorizzi from the Houston Astros for left-handed reliever Will Smith.
Odorizzi will join the Braves' rotation for the final stretch of the season before becoming a free agent this winter. The righty will turn 33 in the offseason.
Odorizzi averaged 23.6 FanDuel points across 12 starts for the Astros this season while recording a 3.75 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP with an 18.8% strikeout rate and a 6.9% walk rate.
