Mark Mathias recalled, starting Monday for Pirates
Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Mark Mathias is in the lineup for Monday's series opener against left-hander Framber Valdez and the Houston Astros.
The Pirates recalled Mathias from Triple-A Indianapolis on Monday to replace infielder Oneil Cruz (ankle) on the active roster. He will start on second base and bat eighth in Monday's series opener.
Mathias is averaging 7.5 FanDuel points per game across 46 career games and 127 plate appearances.
