Brewers place Luke Voit (neck) on injured list
The Milwaukee Brewers placed first baseman Luke Voit on the 10-day injured list Monday with a strained neck.
The Brewers haven't indicated whether Voit will be ready to return when first eligible. They signed first baseman/outfielder Darin Ruf to a one-year contract in a corresponding roster move. Ruf will take over for Voit as a left-handed platoon bat.
Voit is averaging 5.2 FanDuel points per game while slashing .221/.284/.265 with 3 doubles, 4 RBI, and 5 runs scored across 74 plate appearances this season.
