Pirates' Mark Mathias back to bench Thursday
Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Mark Mathias is not in the lineup for Thursday's series finale against right-hander Marcus Stroman and the Chicago Cubs.
Ji Hwan Bae will reclaim second base and the eighth spot in the lineup from Mathias.
numberFire’s models project Bae ($2,800) for 8.0 FanDuel points on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Pirates have the second-lowest implied total in the majors today at 3.21 and the game total is 7.0. The low totals are partially because winds are blowing in at Wrigley Field on Thursday. Stroman has a 2.42 ERA and 3.73 xERA this season, with a 40.7% hard-hit rate, 21.7% strikeout rate, and 9.2% walk rate.
