Giants acquiring A.J. Pollock (hamstring) from Mariners
The San Francisco Giants are acquiring outfielder A.J. Pollock (hamstring) and infielder/outfielder Mark Mathias from the Seattle Mariners.
Pollock is currently on the 10-day injured list with a hamstring issue, but he's expected to return soon. The Giants placed Mike Yastrzemski on the shelf Monday with his own hamstring injury, so Pollock could be an immediate regular in the San Francisco outfield.
Pollock slashed just .173/.225/.323 with 5 homers and 15 RBI across 138 plate appearances in 49 games for the Mariners this season.
