J.P. Martinez on Texas bench again Wednesday
Texas Rangers outfielder J.P. Martinez is not in the lineup again for Wednesday's series finale against right-hander Denyi Reyes and the New York Mets.
Martinez is absent for a second straight game. The Rangers are rolling out Travis Jankowski, Leody Taveras, and Adolis Garcia in the grass Wednesday while Mitch Garver starts at designated hitter. Robbie Grossman is out of the lineup.
numberFire’s models project Garver ($3,000) for 13.7 FanDuel points and he's our second-best point-per-dollar value among hitters on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rangers' implied total is 5.10 and the game total is 9.5. Reyes has a 16.9% strikeout rate and 9.0% walk rate through his first 19 2/3 innings in the bigs.
