San Francisco Giants infielder Casey Schmitt is not in the lineup on Friday against right-hander Michael Wacha and the San Diego Padres.

The Giants activated Brandon Crawford (forearm) from the 10-day injured list on Friday, so Schmitt will likely see less playing time moving forward. Crawford is replacing Schmitt at shortstop on Friday and hitting eighth.
