Jose Bautista could return to Toronto by end of July
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista (toe) has removed his walking boot and has been hitting off a tee at the Blue Jays' spring training complex.
Toronto is hoping that Bautista will be ready to return before the end of the month. He has been at the Blue Jays' spring training facility recently, but it is unclear if he will be ready to return to the outfield when healthy, or if he will serve as the designated hitter for a while after coming back.
Bautista got off to a slow start this season by his standards, slashing .230/.360/.455 with a .353 wOBA in 286 plate appearances. He does have 12 home runs, 41 runs scored, and 41 RBI's, though.
