Phillies' Brandon Marsh sitting versus lefty Sunday
The Philadelphia Phillies did not list Brandon Marsh as a starter for Sunday's game against the Washington Nationals.
Marsh will rotate to the bench against Nats lefty MacKenzie Gore while Whit Merrifield covers left field and bats seventh.
Marsh is off to a strong start to the season, with 2 homers, 5 RBI and a .849 OPS to kick things off. He figures to platoon with Merrifield for much of the year, but could work into additional playing time if his hot streak continues.
