Mark Canha on Tigers bench Tuesday afternoon
Detroit Tigers outfielder Mark Canha is not in the lineup for Tuesday afternoon's game against right-hander Jon Gray and the Texas Rangers.
Canha went 2-for-4 and hit his fourth double of the season in Monday's series opener, but he will take a seat on Tuesday afternoon. Wenceel PĂ©rez will replace Canha in right field and hit sixth, while Riley Greene will make another start in the opposite corner. Spencer Torkelson will move up in place of Canha and hit second. Parker Meadows will also replace Matt Vierling in center field and bat eighth.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Tigers' implied total (3.87) is in the bottom half of the majors today, while the game total (8.0) is also on the lower end of the spectrum.
