3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 12/20/17

The Miami Heat are again extremely banged-up heading into tonight's game, as Hassan Whiteside, James Johnson and Justise Winslow are all going to be out, while Goran Dragic is doubtful. In a similar situation on Monday, Miami essentially went with a seven-man rotation, with Dion Waiters ($6,200), Josh Richardson ($5,900), and Tyler Johnson ($4,900) all playing 35-plus minutes. Of that group, Richardson and Johnson are the preferred options.

If you want to take a shot on any of the Miami players in a tough spot against one of the league's best defenses, paying all the way down for Jordan Mickey may be the best course of action. He has averaged over 25 minutes and 26 DraftKings points in two games in an expanded role and should again see minutes in the upper 20s against his former team tonight. He needs just 18.5 DraftKings points to reach value at this price, which, at 25 minutes, would require just a 0.74 DraftKings points per minute pace from him. He's averaging 1.03 on the year, so even with a downgrade in efficiency due to the matchup, he shouldn't struggle to pay off his price tag.
