3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays for 1/4/18
Ryan Anderson, PF, Houston Rockets
FanDuel Price: $4,300
Projected FanDuel Points: 21.0
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.87
Ryan Anderson has been wildly inconsistent over the majority of the 2017-18 season. He's had games where he hasn't scored at all and others where he's gone for 20-plus. But, at this point in time, he might he headed toward a hot streak. In last night's game, the three-point bomber scored 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting (with 1 triple in 4 attempts) and a 4-of-4 clip from the line.
Anderson hasn't been great on back-to-backs, but he was limited to less than 30 minutes on Wednesday, so he should be good on Thursday. On one hand, the Warriors' versatility could keep him from being effective in stretching the floor, but on the other hand, Anderson put up 30.1 FanDuel points in Houston's opening night win at the Oracle.
Tonight, he's at home and stands to benefit from Chris Paul being the team's primary ball handler and playmaker as opposed to Harden performing that role. According to NBAWowy, when Paul has been on the floor and Harden's been off, Anderson's FanDuel points per minute jumps to 0.95, compared to just 0.63 when both All-Stars are present.
That makes Anderson, as of now, our top point-per-dollar play at power forward, and he's the night's second-best option money can buy you on tonight's slate.
