Gordon Hayward (foot) will not play on Monday for Jazz

Utah Jazz guard/forward Gordon Hayward (plantar fasciitis in right foot) will not play against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night.

What It Means:

That's not good news as the Jazz kick off an important four-game week. Plantar fasciitis tends to linger and the best remedy is rest, so it's possible Hayward misses more time. Rodney Hood should handle the ball slightly more while every other player should get more shots. Chris Johnson and Joe Ingles will likely get more run.

Hayward has been solid this season, posting a 5.4 nERD, which ranks 34th. He's averaging 20.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game while posting a 56.3 True Shooting Percentage. We currently project Hayward to average 19.9 points, 4.5 assists and 4.2 rebounds over the remaining course of the season.
