Celtics nab Mike Muscala from Thunder for Justin Jackson, two 2nds

The Boston Celtics are acquiring forward/center Mike Muscala from the Oklahoma City Thunder for Justin Jackson and two second-round picks.

What It Means:

Muscala made five starts for the Thunder this season as head coach Mark Daigneault frequently rotated his lineup, but he only averaged 14.5 minutes per contest. It will likely continue to be tough for the 31-year-old to earn consistent playing time in Boston when Al Horford, Robert Williams, and Grant Williams are healthy. Muscala will be competing with Luke Kornet and Blake Griffin for minutes as the second big off the bench.

Muscala averaged 13.0 FanDuel points per game for the Thunder with 6.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.3 3-pointers per contest.
