Victor Wembanyama (hip) could sit Friday in Spurs' second leg
San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama (hip) is uncertain for Friday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans, per head coach Gregg Popovich.
Wembanyama played through his hip injury on Thursday and scored 21 points with 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 4 blocks in 29 minutes. The Spurs might play it safe and hold the young big man out for the second leg of the back-to-back. That would free up more minutes for Charles Bassey and Cedi Osman in the frontcourt.
Wemby has a $9,000 salary on Friday’s six-game slate and numberFire's models project him for 44.1 FanDuel points over 33.6 minutes.
