Nets' Ben Simmons (back) sidelined rest of season
Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Ben Simmons will remain out for the remainder of the season due to the nerve impingement in his lower back, the team announced Thursday.
Simmons missed the past five games and only made 15 appearances for the Nets all season due to his back issue. He will consult with specialists and explore treatment options to determine how Simmons can stay healthy in the long-term. Simms will turn 28 this summer.
Simmons averaged 26.7 FanDuel points in 23.9 minutes per game this season, with 6.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.6 blocks. He shot a career-best 58.1 percent from the field, but just 40.0 percent on free throws.
