Spurs' Pau Gasol breaks bone in left hand, out indefinitely
San Antonio Spurs forward/center Pau Gasol broke the fourth metacarpal in his left hand in pregame warmups on Thursday and will likely be out indefinitely.
Huge news coming out of San Antonio as Gasol had started 39 of the Spurs 41 games this year. While his overall numbers have dipped, he was playing significant minutes (26.4) for the team every night. There is no timetable for his return at the moment. David Lee started on Thursday in his place and will see the bulk of the minutes with DeWayne Dedmon playing a larger role as well.
Lee has averaged 8.7 points and 9.3 rebounds in his three starts this season.
