76ers' Markelle Fultz (shoulder) ruled out next three games

According to Philly.com's Keith Pompey, Philadelphia 76ers guard Markelle Fultz will miss the next three games to rest his injured right shoulder.

What It Means:

This shutdown of sorts has been in the making for a while now. Recently, it was reported that Fultz received a cortisone shot in early October and that he's still struggled to put his arm above his head when playing. General manager Bryan Colangelo said there is "no structural damage" but he also implied that Fultz' attempt to change his shooting mechanics may have caused the injury. For the short-term, Jerryd Bayless and J.J. Redick could see more time as the off-guard in Philadelphia.

Through 4 games and 19 minutes per contest, Fultz is averaging just 4 points on 33.3% shooting and 50% from the line. He was projected for 12.1 points and 23.3 FanDuel points in tonight's matchup with the Houston Rockets.
