Brian Hoyer Has Thrown for More Than 300 Passing Yards in Each of His Last Three Games

Since taking over as the Chicago Bears starting quarterback in Week 3, Hoyer has eclipsed the 300 passing yard mark and thrown for 2 touchdowns in every game. Jay Cutler, who Hoyer replaced due to injury, has never thrown for 300 yards in three consecutive games at any point in his 11 seasons, and Philip Rivers is the only other quarterback to accomplish the feat this season.

Hoyer also hasn’t thrown an interception all season, and he has more fantasy points than four quarterbacks who have started all five games this season.

Among the 42 quarterbacks with 20 or more drop backs this season, Hoyer’s 0.30 Passing NEP per drop back ranks 10th, while Cutler sits in 41st.

Hoyer will get another chance to prove himself in Week 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who rank eighth in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP and haven’t allowed an opposing quarterback to top 234 passing yards all season.
