Opposing Tight Ends Against the New York Giants

Jason Witten hauled in 7 catches on 9 targets for 59 yards and a score in Week 1. Eric Ebron recorded 5 receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown in Week 2. So what do these two players have in common (outside of playing at the same position, of course)? Both opposed (and flourished) against the New York Giants, who currently rank 25th overall in Success Rate allowed to tight ends.

This isn't a small sample, either. Dating back to Week 1 of 2016 -- a span of 19 games -- starting tight ends have averaged 6.7 targets, 4.5 receptions, 46.5 yards, and 0.26 touchdowns against the Giants. Meanwhile, Zach Ertz currently leads that very position with a Total NEP of 16.85 and ranks fourth among all tight ends with a 21% target share for the Philadelphia Eagles.
