Fantasy Football: Redrafting the First Round After 4 Weeks
11. A.J. Green, WR, Cincinnati Bengals
After being shut out by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, it was reasonable to be worried about Cincinnati Bengals star receiver A.J. Green and the entire offense. The line couldn't protect, the backs struggled to run, and Green only posted 74 yards.
Yet, he received the squeaky-wheel treatment after complaining about his role following the Bengals' 0-2 start and is now fourth in the league in receptions with 25. Over the past two weeks specifically, he posted 15 receptions for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns, asserting himself once again as one of the premier talents at wide receiver.
While none of his numbers are exceptional, he is ranked eighth in Reception NEP at 25.92 and sixth in targets with 38. More importantly, the offense has looked much improved during the past two weeks following the firing of offensive coordinator Ken Zampese.
The ride may be bumpy at times with Andy Dalton at the helm of this passing attack, but Green is simply too dominant to overlook at this point in the draft. Despite a somewhat slow start, at least by his standards, Green is still on pace for 100 receptions and 8 touchdowns and is ranked fifth in fantasy points.
