8 Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 6
Elijah McGuire, RB, New York Jets
The Pats haven't been as bad against the run as they have against the pass, but they haven't been especially strong in that phase, either. New England sits 16th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play, while they have allowed the league's most fantasy points per game to the running back position.
With Matt Forte banged up, Elijah McGuire has seen an uptick in snaps, playing 19 in Week 4 and a team-high 36 (68% of the Jets' offensive total) in Week 5 when Bilal Powell made an early exit with a calf injury. Powell didn't practice on Wednesday (although Forte did in a limited capacity), so McGuire looks to be in for another big workload.
McGuire has been the Jets' most efficient fantasy running back this season, averaging 35.7 points per 100 snaps (compared to 31.1 for Powell and 17.9 for Forte), and a starter's workload in a plus matchup with the Patriots would give him plenty of value.
