Surrounded by an improved offensive line, two superb wideouts and a quality tight end, Case Keenum has been able to put up some big fantasy outings this year.

He's been a top-six weekly quarterback in nearly half of his seven starts, posting three such weeks on the year. His most recent big game came last time out as he went on the road and torched a pretty solid Washington defense for 24.06 fantasy points (304 yards, 4 touchdowns and 2 picks).

Keenum returns home this week for a tough matchup with the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams are a very difficult foe, ranking third versus the pass, according to our schedule-adjusted numbers, while allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.

On top of that, Keenum doesn't seem to have a super firm grasp on the starting role. Keenum will start this week, but Teddy Bridgewater seems to be nipping at his heels, with Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer calling it a "day-to-day" situation.

In spite of all the negatives, Keenum is still a serviceable streaming option and a solid play in two-quarterback leagues, because the fact of the matter is he's playing pretty darn well in a really good offense. Keenum's Passing Net Expected Points per drop back of 0.19 ranks sixth in the league among quarterbacks with at least 200 drop backs in 2017, and Minnesota boasts the fifth-best passing game, per our metrics.

We have Keenum as this week's 16th-ranked quarterback, projecting him for 15.61 fantasy points.
