7 Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 16
Kerwynn Williams, RB, Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals are big on feeding their lead back, game script be damned.
Adrian Peterson averaged 21.5 carries per game in six games as a Cardinal, despite their 3-3 record in that time. In the three games since Peterson's season ended, Kerwynn Williams has yet to notch fewer than 16 carries in a game -- averaging 17.7 per game while the Cards have lost two of those three.
As I mentioned for Gallman, the Cards are favored by 3.5, and with the potential for a positive game script, Williams' chance for volume goes way up -- something that is especially appealing against a Giants team that allows top-10 fantasy production to running backs.
It is worth noting that Williams is dealing with a quad injury and didn't practice Wednesday. If he can't play, then Elijhaa Penny is the next man up, and like any Cardinals lead back, he'd be in line for big volume. He saw 10 carries with Williams banged up last week, and with opportunity being far and away the most important factor for a fantasy running back, Penny becomes a great play if Williams sits.
