8 Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 1
Danny Amendola, WR, Miami Dolphins
Like the Cowboys, the Miami Dolphins vacate a ton of targets this year -- especially while DeVante Parker (finger) is sidelined.
Sans Parker, they are missing three of their top four passing targets from the 2017 season, and until he returns, a colossal 67.9% of their targets from 2017 are unaccounted for.
The Phins added Albert Wilson and Danny Amendola in the off-season, and while both stand to see some extended work with Parker out, it's Amendola that you should have your eyes on.
A team-high 161 targets of those targets (a 27.4% market share) belonged to slot receiver Jarvis Landry. You never want to project that an offense will operate the same way regardless of personnel, but Amendola should still see plenty of volume in that slot role, and as a waiver pickup you don't need him seeing 161 targets to be valuable. He saw a team-high four of Ryan Tannehill's targets in their Preseason Week 3 dress rehearsal, which is a promising sign for his usage in the regular season..
This week's matchup is also an intriguing one, as numberFire's models have the Tennessee Titans ranked 27th against the pass heading into 2018.
