Steven Jackson, RB, Atlanta Falcons

As most of these matchups go, when facing a stout defense, no one is safe (coincidentally, no one is safe when facing a clown either). As it goes for Falcons' quarterback Matt Ryan, so it does for lead back Steven Jackson. Jackson has already seen his expected touches drop from around 20 to closer to 15 each week, and rightfully so: among running backs with at least 20 carries thus far, Steven Jackson ranks 24th in the league in Rushing NEP on a per attempt basis. He is no longer the out-and-out stud he used to be in St. Louis. It's that simple.

The only weeks he has scored double-digit fantasy points were weeks he scored a touchdown, and those figure to be in short supply against the seventh-ranked Baltimore Ravens' rush defense. The positives: he gets double-digit touches weekly, so opportunity is there, and he has accumulated at least 50 total yards in all but one week thus far. The negatives: he needs 10-15 touches to accumulate 50 total yards.

You were only likely playing him as a flex option this week anyway. Do yourself a favor and bench Steven Jackson.
