Jackson has already seen his expected touches drop from around 20 to closer to 15 each week, and rightfully so: among running backs with at least 20 carries thus far, Steven Jackson ranks 24th in the league in Rushing NEP on a per attempt basis. He is no longer the out-and-out stud he used to be in St. Louis. It's that simple.

The only weeks he has scored double-digit fantasy points were weeks he scored a touchdown, and those figure to be in short supply against the seventh-ranked Baltimore Ravens' rush defense. The positives: he gets double-digit touches weekly, so opportunity is there, and he has accumulated at least 50 total yards in all but one week thus far. The negatives: he needs 10-15 touches to accumulate 50 total yards.

You were only likely playing him as a flex option this week anyway. Do yourself a favor and bench Steven Jackson.
