DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football: Top Punt Plays for Week 8
Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Minnesota Vikings ($3,300)
If there’s ever a week to get excited about playing Cordarrelle Patterson, this is it. It’s actually ridiculous how cheap a lot of Vikings guys are this week, especially considering players are fantasy gold mines against Tampa Bay.
It’s hard to justify playing a gadget player that gets limited touches, but the Buccaneers are the absolute worst team in the NFL at defending wide receivers. In fact, they’re giving up the most fantasy points to the position by a good margin.
Patterson finally found the end zone last week (albeit the touchdown was a short bubble screen near the goal line), and perhaps he can keep the momentum rolling. The Bucs have been torched by quarterbacks this year, and Teddy Bridgewater could be due for a big day after struggling against a couple of tough defenses the last few weeks.
Patterson’s Reception NEP of 15.47 isn’t anything too impressive, but he obviously has the ability to score from anywhere on the field. This game could sneakily turn into a higher scoring affair than some think, and I like the Vikings receivers to take advantage against the Bucs horrendous secondary.
