7 FanDuel Bargains to Target in Week 1
Richard Rodgers ($4,900)
Being largely overlooked in the talk of which Packers' receivers will step up in Jordy Nelson's absence is how much of an impact this could have on Packer tight ends, especially with so many of their young receivers being so unproven.
When you're looking for bargain options at tight end, you want to find the guys that are going to score touchdowns. And that's exactly what Richard Rodgers offers you this week.
The Bears gave up the most fantasy points to tight ends last year, and surrendered the second most touchdowns at 13. As noted previously, the Packers have the third highest projected point total of the week at 28.25, and there will be plenty of touchdowns to go around in that offense.
Jordy Nelson was the Packers' most targeted receiver in the red zone in 2014, so his absence leaves a lot of scoring opportunities unaccounted for. While some of these targets may go to Adams and the other receivers, 30% of the 77 red zone targets that didn't go to Jordy last year went to Packers' tight ends.
Any bargain play at tight end is going to be a boom-or-bust option, and Rodgers is positioned perfectly for a "boom" game.
