High-Cost Option: Aaron Rodgers $7,900

Aaron Rodgers squares off with a 49ers defense that has given up the sixth-most passing yards per game and the second-most points per game. Rodgers should absolutely feast in this matchup after coming off the heels of a five-touchdown performance on Monday Night Football.

While Davante Adams may miss some additional time due to injury, James Jones and Randall Cobb have been absolutely tearing it up for their quarterback and should alleviate any concern for the passing game. The last two games have seen the Packers starting wideouts collect a stat line of 23 receptions for 375 yards and 5 touchdowns. Aaron Rodgers is on fire. Rodgers now faces a San Francisco secondary bereft of much talent as they've allowed opposing quarterbacks to complete big plays allowing 10.0 yards per pass attempt (worst in the league).

After lowering his salary this week (yes, his salary was lowered) to only $7,900, it's almost a dare to take the league's best quarterback. Feel free to accept the challenge.

Mid-Cost Option: Cam Newton $7,000

Cam Newton is certainly a more tournament-worthy starting quarterback for those that prefer safety at the quarterback position, but we've now seen Cam averaging over 30 fantasy points the last two weeks, finishing as a top-3 QB each week in the process. Newton now faces the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and provides an enticing ceiling to chase against a mediocre defense.

Newton's legs give him such a huge advantage over the rest of the quarterback field, that he provides a weekly rushing value other quarterbacks can't provide. He's rushed for over 100 yards and 2 scores the past two weeks combined, while throwing for 510 yards and 4 touchdowns. Newton missed both Tampa Bay games last year, but in 2013 he finished with 27.8 and 29.3 fantasy points, throwing for over 220 passing yards each game and 2 passing touchdowns while rushing for at least 50 yards and another touchdown.

The Buccaneers may have befuddled Drew Brees in Week 2, but Newton's "get out of jail free" card -- his rushing ability -- makes him a solid play to hit his value against a middle of the pack Tampa Bay defense.

Low-Cost Option: Tyrod Taylor $5,800

At only $5,800 Tyrod Taylor's value continues to be underpriced. After three weeks as a starting quarterback this season, Taylor now ranks fifth in both touchdowns and completion percentage. He ranks fourth in fantasy points. Now facing a great matchup this week against the New York Giants -- seventh-most fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks -- Taylor could climb even higher in the ranks of quarterbacks this week.

The Giants have given up the most passing yards to opposing quarterbacks in the league as Tony Romo, Matt Ryan, and yes, even Kirk Cousins, have all dropped over 300 passing yards on this defense. Tyrod should have no trouble matching this feat as his 9.15 yards per pass attempt trails only Ben Roethlisberger (10.25) and Andy Dalton (9.41) as Taylor has been an aggressive, downfield thrower as evidenced by his 9.4 average depth of target (per ProFootballFocus), ranking 13th overall.

The Giants have one of the league's worst pass rushes and have only reached the quarterback three times on the season so far (third-worst rate). Taylor could once again find himself a top fantasy option this week with plenty of time to survey the defense from the pocket.

GPP Wildcard: Derek Carr $5,300

Has Derek Carr turned over a new leaf this season? It sure looks like it, as Carr has posted QB5 and QB8 performances over the past two weeks. His hot start to the season has led to Carr improving from the second-worst Passing NEP total of all quarterbacks last year, to having the seventh-highest in 2015. Carr gets a chance to improve this ranking even more taking on the Chicago Bears in Chicago where Oakland is now a road 3-point favorite.

The Bears have the worst overall defense according to our metrics and have allowed eight passing touchdowns over the past three weeks. Carr and rookie Amari Cooper have been a hit since Week 1, and should be able to exploit an easy matchup against struggling cornerbacks Kyle Fuller and Alan Ball. Coming into this game after two great performances, Carr could easily exceed value at only $5,300.
