As the number two wideout in Houston opposite DeAndre Hopkins, Nate Washington kept the momentum he's built up over the last few games going by turning 6 targets against the Titans 10th-ranked passing defense into a 4-reception, 106-yard, 1-touchdown day.
While Washington has been somewhat average with a Reception NEP per target of just 0.65, he has made up for this mediocre efficiency through the sheer volume of targets he's received in Houston. A prime beneficiary of the pass heavy attack for the Texans this season, in the five full games he's played with the Texans, Washington has seen 11, 8, 9, 16, and now 6 targets. And over the last two weeks Washington has turned 22 all these looks from Brian Hoyer into 13 receptions for 201 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns.
With the running game virtually non-existent following Arian Foster's season ending injury last week, expect the Texans to continue to air it out, leading to plenty of quality looks for Washington to produce solid numbers for the rest of this season.
