6 Fantasy Football Losers From the 2016 NFL Draft

Similar to a point I made about Ryan Mathews in yesterday's winners column, Rashad Jennings doesn't get enough love for how strong of a career he's had.

Just last year, Jennings finished with a 0.02 Rushing NEP per rush average, which not only was better than the league -0.01 rate for running backs, it was 0.25 expected points per rush better than the man who saw the second-most carries on the team, Andre Williams. Yes, Williams might be the worst running back in our database, but that kind of a difference isn't something we see very often.

What was more impressive about Jennings' season, though, was his 50.77% Success Rate -- over half of his carries were deemed positive by NEP. Among all backs with 100 or more carries, that was the absolute best in the NFL, ahead of even David Johnson. (Ryan Mathews was fifth, for what it's worth.)

But like Mathews, Jennings doesn't get much love because of his injury history.

Unlike Mathews, the Giants selected a running back in Paul Perkins -- also in the fifth round -- who the team believes could be a three-down back, whereas Wendell Smallwood, Philly's pick, is more of a pass-catching threat.

This just makes the Giants' backfield even more confusing. Shane Vereen should continue to play the role of primary pass-catcher among the group, but with Perkins in the mix, Jennings' stock takes a hit.
