Exiting the season, the assumption for Seattle was that Thomas Rawls would be manning the backfield in 2016. After all, he ranked fourth among 100-plus attempt backs in Success Rate last year, and second among the same group in per-rush efficiency, according to our numbers.

If you recall, Rawls exited last season with an ankle injury, so there was some skepticism surrounding him -- an undrafted free agent -- moving forward.

Things got even dicier with the draft, as Seattle selected CJ Prosise in Round 3, and then Alex Collins in Round 5.

Welp.

Prosise is an incredible athlete, and compares favorably, according to PlayerProfiler.com, to Ryan Mathews. Many have compared him to David Johnson thanks to his ability to catch the ball -- he played wide receiver at Notre Dame for two years before making the switch to running back.

And the Seahawks are already talking about him filling the third-down role for their offense next season. That's a big hit to Rawls in and of itself, and if his ankle isn't ready by then, there's opportunity for Prosise to steal early-down touches in one of the best offenses for a running back in fantasy football.
