Corey Coleman, WR, Cleveland Browns

Corey Coleman, the first wide receiver drafted in April, landed in a position where he could be a high volume receiver in his rookie year.

The electric receiver, drafted 15th overall, enters a situation where two of the Browns three most targeted receivers are no longer on the roster. Gary Barnidge and Travis Benjamin led the Browns in targets last year with 125, but Benjamin is now in San Diego. Brian Hartline was third on the team in targets (77), but he was released May 23rd.

In his final season at Baylor, Coleman totaled 74 catches for 1,363 yards and 20 touchdowns.

The Browns are already looking for any way to get the ball in Coleman’s hands, experimenting with the possibility of Coleman returning punts.

Although Coleman’s talent and the void in the Browns receiving corps should lead to fantasy production, much of Coleman’s 2016 success will depend upon the Browns quarterback situation. While Robert Griffin III is currently penciled in as the starter for now, the Browns also have Josh McCown and drafted Cody Kessler in the third round.

Should the Browns find find reliable quarterback production, look for Coleman to lead the Browns in targets and be the number-one rookie receiver in fantasy in 2016.
