1. Blake Bortles, 2014

Blake Bortles was drafted third overall in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the clear expectation that he would start from day one.

Bortles ended up starting 13 games, completed 58.9 percent of his throws and threw 17 interceptions to just 11 touchdowns. It was a classic case of a rookie quarterback struggling with a lack of talent around him.

Not only was his Passing NEP mark (-97.97) the worst in the last decade, it ranked fifth-worst among the 462 300-plus attempt quarterback seasons since the 2000 season.

Bortles is easily the most intriguing player to make this list not only because he’s still only 24 years old, but because of how dramatically different his first two NFL seasons ended up from a raw statistical perspective.

Jason Green laid out the case for Bortles’ 2015 season being overrated while JJ Zachariason explained why Bortles is likely to see regression in his passing touchdowns in 2016.
